Innocent Until Caught is one of those Amiga adventures that feels like a grimy space noir—you play as Jack T. Ladd, a thief with 28 days to scrape together enough credits to pay off the galaxy’s most terrifying tax collectors. (Yeah, they’ll straight-up kill you for evasion.) Stranded on this dump of a planet called Tayte, you’re clicking through pixelated bars and back alleys, trying to scrounge up cash while figuring out which shady deal won’t get you spaced.

The interface is where it gets clever: there’s this little window that toggles between a mini-map and a magnifying glass for spotting tiny objects, and your inventory’s just a messy box where you can pile junk on top of other junk. Some of the cutscenes are these early 3D renders that look hilariously blocky now but were probably mind-blowing in 1991. It’s not the deepest adventure game, but the whole “desperate thief” vibe gives it personality.

Just don’t expect the puzzles to make sense—this is the era where you’d combine a rubber chicken with a pulley system because… space logic, I guess.
