Invader came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Midas Interactive Entertainment. It was part of that wave of straightforward, pick-up-and-play shooters that felt right at home on the handheld, offering a quick dose of action without a lot of fuss.
You pilot a small, nimble ship across horizontally scrolling levels, shooting down formations of alien invaders while dodging their return fire. Your main goal is to survive each stage, defeat the boss waiting at the end, and collect coins dropped by enemies to purchase upgrades between levels, like wider shot spreads or secondary weapons.
