I remember picking up Invizimals on the PSP back in 2009, a game developed by Novarama and published by Sony. It was one of those titles that really tried to use the handheld's hardware in a unique way, especially the camera, which wasn't all that common at the time. The game stood out because it blended the real world with the game world in a manner that felt fresh for the platform.

You play as a hunter, using the PSP's camera to scan your surroundings for invisible creatures. The main goal is to capture these Invizimals by tracing patterns on the screen and then battling them in turn-based combat that uses a simple type advantage system. Exploration is screen by screen, moving the console around to find hidden pockets where creatures dwell. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow as you carefully search each area, but the battles are quick and strategic. It feels oddly immersive to be physically turning and tilting the PSP, making the hunt itself a tactile experience.
