Iron Tank is one of those NES games that makes you feel like you're driving a clunky but unstoppable war machine. You roll through Normandy blasting everything in sight—enemy tanks, helicopters, even foot soldiers—while dodging bullets that come at you from all directions. The controls take a second to get used to (rotating the turret feels a little stiff at first), but once you get the hang of it, mowing down waves of enemies is weirdly satisfying.
It’s basically SNK’s take on Ikari Warriors but with a tank, so expect the same kind of chaotic, screen-filling action. The Japanese version (Great Tank) is slightly different, but this one’s got the same relentless energy. Just don’t expect deep strategy—this is pure arcade-style destruction.
