Play It Came from the Desert Online
Dodge mutant ants in town, then switch to blasting them in shooter segments—your choices actually matter, and skipping the hospital early is a death sentence. Pure B-movie chaos with that crunchy Genesis sound.

It Came from the Desert came out on the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed by Cinemaware. It was one of those games that stood out at the time for trying something different, mixing adventure and action in a way that felt ambitious on the console.
You play as a geologist in a small town overrun by giant ants. Most of the game involves driving around, talking to people, and gathering clues to understand the invasion. You also get into shooting sections where you blast ants from a first person perspective. The choices you make affect how the story unfolds; if you ignore your injuries, for example, you might not survive later encounters. The pacing is tense, and the difficulty can be unforgiving. It feels like navigating a cheesy sci fi movie where every decision could lead to disaster.
