1989 Amiga action-adventure game. Play as Dr. Greg Bradley investigating a meteor crash in Lizard Breath. Features first-person bug shooting, overhead shooter sequences, and chase scenes against monstrous enemies.
Game Overview
It Came From the Desert is this weird, wonderful mix of B-movie horror and action-adventure that feels like stumbling into a late-night drive-in flick. You play as Dr. Greg Bradley, a geologist who rolls into the dusty town of Lizard Breath expecting to study a meteor crash—only to find giant ants wreaking havoc instead. Classic 50s sci-fi nonsense, and I mean that in the best way.
The game throws you into these totally different gameplay chunks—one minute you're in first-person blasting bugs, the next you're in a top-down shooter or desperately outrunning something in a car chase. It’s janky in that old-school Amiga way, but the abrupt shifts keep you on your toes. Just don’t expect an open-world sandbox—this one railroads you through its cheesy story, and honestly, that’s part of the charm.
If you’ve got a soft spot for campy horror or games that don’t take themselves too seriously, this one’s a blast. Just watch out for those antennae poking through the sand.
