If you loved the movie Avatar, this DS game actually does a decent job of dropping you into Pandora’s jungles—though, yeah, the graphics are obviously a bit pixelated. You start off as a soldier or a Na’vi, and the controls feel surprisingly smooth for a DS title, especially when you’re swinging through vines or sneaking past mechs.
The touchscreen gets used in fun ways, like drawing paths for your Ikran to fly or tapping to shoot arrows. It’s not super deep, but the battles against the RDA troops can get pretty intense when you’re dodging bullets and flanking them in the undergrowth. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s more of a solid weekend playthrough for fans who want more of that world.
