Play Jazz Jackrabbit (U)(Eurasia) Online

Blast through levels as a cocky green rabbit with a gun—bounce off enemies, grab homing missiles, and barely dodge traps while chiptune jazz blares in the background. The speed’s chaotic but the controls keep up, even when the screen gets crowded.

Game Overview

Jazz Jackrabbit on the GBA is basically what happens if Sonic had a caffeine addiction and a gun. You play as this cocky green rabbit blasting through levels at breakneck speed, bouncing off enemies, grabbing weird power-ups (the homing missiles are my favorite), and dodging traps that feel like they were designed by a slightly sadistic cartoonist.

The controls are surprisingly tight for a GBA port—no awkward slowdown, just pure chaotic platforming. Some of the later levels get brutal with their enemy spam, but that’s part of the charm. And yeah, the music still slaps, even in chiptune form.

It’s not perfect (the camera occasionally freaks out when you’re going too fast), but for a pocket-sized version of a ‘90s cult classic, it holds up way better than it has any right to. Just try not to throw your GBA when you die to the same turtle for the tenth time.
