Play Jazz Jackrabbit on Msdos Online
Blast through robot frogs as a cocky green rabbit, sliding around slippery slopes and hunting secret hoverboards before the timer runs out. Those hidden lizard levels? Yeah, they're as weird as they sound.
Jazz Jackrabbit came out in 1994 for MS-DOS, published by Epic MegaGames. It was one of those fast-paced platformers that felt right at home on a PC, competing with the console action games of the time. You played as a rabbit with an attitude, armed to the teeth, in a world that mixed cartoon style with some surprisingly sharp level design.
You control Jazz, a rabbit who runs, jumps, and shoots his way through screen after screen of enemy-filled stages. The main goal is to reach the end of each level, defeating bosses and rescuing a princess from the evil turtle Devan Shell. Key mechanics include collecting gems for points and extra lives, finding secret warp zones to skip ahead, and using a variety of weapons like blasters and grenade launchers picked up from defeated foes. The pacing is relentless; you're always moving, dodging projectiles, and making split-second jumps. It feels like a controlled rush, a mix of precision and chaos that keeps you coming back for one more try.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
