Game Overview

Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius is pure, ridiculous fun—Konami's weirdest, most colorful shooter on the SNES. It's the fourth Parodius game, so if you've played any of the others, you know what to expect: penguins in fighter jets, cats with sunglasses, and levels that flip between "kinda cute" and "what am I even looking at?"

The big twist here is the announcer—constantly chattering in Japanese, reacting to everything you do. Miss a power-up? He'll tease you. Beat a boss? Cheesy victory fanfare. It's chaotic, but in a way that makes you laugh instead of groan. The Saturn and PlayStation ports look sharper, but there's something charming about the SNES version's slightly janky sprites.

Just don't go in expecting Gradius-level precision. This is a game where you dodge giant sushi rolls while riding a flying octopus. That’s the whole vibe.
