Play Jumpin' Derby (Japan) Online

Pick a wacky animal racer and bounce off ramps, other cars, and whatever else sends you flying—half the race happens mid-air while you try not to spin wildly into the stands. Pure chaotic SNES physics with that perfect early '90s Japanese charm.

Game Overview

Jumpin' Derby is one of those SNES games that makes you go, "Wait, why didn't we get this in the West?" It's racing, but not like anything you've played—your car spends half the time airborne, bouncing off ramps, other players, and frankly whatever physics feels like throwing at you that lap.

You pick from these weirdly charming animal racers (the kangaroo's my go-to) and then it's pure chaos. Tracks have these ridiculous jumps where you'll either stick the landing perfectly or go careening into the crowd. There's something hilarious about watching four cars all collide mid-air and spiral off in different directions.

It's got that early '90s Japanese quirkiness—bright colors, silly sound effects, and a vibe that doesn't take itself seriously at all. Not the deepest racer, but perfect when you want something fast, dumb, and full of "did that just happen?" moments. Still holds up if you're into forgotten arcade-style gems.
