Play Kelly X Online
First-person space shooter (Amiga, 1989). Pilot a ship to destroy rogue nuclear stations and toxic waste canisters in zero-gravity combat. Uses mouse or joystick controls with auto-thrust. Hyperspace escape depletes shields.

Kelly X came out on the Amiga in 1989, published by Virgin Mastertronic. It was part of that wave of early first-person space shooters, a genre that was still figuring itself out on home computers. You don't hear much about it now, but it had its own take on things.
You pilot a ship through a series of zero-gravity, first-person environments, tasked with destroying rogue nuclear stations and toxic waste canisters. Control is handled with a mouse or joystick; the ship features auto-thrust, so you only need to worry about steering and firing. A hyperspace escape function is available, but it drains your shields significantly, making it a risky last resort. The game moves at a deliberate pace, demanding careful navigation to avoid collisions while lining up shots. It feels like a tense, solitary patrol through a hazardous, abstract frontier.
