Download King's Quest IV - The Perils Of Rosella_Disk3 ROM – Amiga Game
1988 adventure game for Amiga. Play as Rosella, solving puzzles via typed commands in a day-night cycle. Retrieve magic fruit and stolen talisman in an interconnected world. Uses SCI engine with paused gameplay for input.
King’s Quest IV throws you right into the drama—Graham collapses after tossing his adventurer’s hat to his daughter Rosella, and suddenly she’s the one racing to save him. A fairy named Genesta offers a deal: teleport to Tamir, grab a magic fruit to heal your dad, but oh, by the way, you’ll also need to steal back Genesta’s talisman from a witch named Lolotte. No pressure.
This was the first King’s Quest with a female lead, and Rosella’s adventure feels bigger—more detailed sprites, richer colors, and that weirdly satisfying pause whenever you’re typing commands (no more frantic scrambling to type "pick up fish" before something eats you). The world’s packed with oddball characters—some helpful, some just waiting to mess with you—and the day/night cycle means certain puzzles only unlock at specific times. Miss your window? Better find a place to wait it out.
If you’ve played the earlier games, the exploration will feel familiar, but the Amiga version’s visuals and that frozen-while-typing trick make it way less stressful. Just watch out for Lolotte’s minions—they’ve got a habit of showing up at the worst possible moment.
