Download Knightmare_Disk1 ROM – Amiga Game
1991 Amiga RPG. Lead a team through Dunshelm Castle to recover four artifacts: Shield, Sword, Cup, Crown. Mouse-driven interface, context-sensitive item interactions, multiple combat options, magic spells. Save-anywhere feature.
Game Overview
Knightmare on the Amiga is one of those dungeon crawlers that feels like it’s half RPG, half puzzle box. You control a team of adventurers hunting down four legendary artifacts—like the Cup of Life and the Crown of Glory—to take down Lord Fear, who sounds about as pleasant as his name suggests. Treguard from the old TV show pops in now and then to drop cryptic advice, which is either helpful or just adds to the confusion.
The controls are pure Dungeon Master vibes: left-click to poke around, right-click to make your characters do stuff. Want to stab something with a knife? There’s a whole menu just for that. Empty-handed? Punch or kick your way through, I guess. Spells are there too, but good luck figuring them out without some trial and error.
One weird quirk: you can save anytime, but loading means either resetting the game or getting your party killed on purpose. Not exactly convenient, but hey, it’s the ‘90s. If you’re into clunky-but-charming dungeon crawlers with a British TV twist, this might be worth a look.
