Play Konamic Sports in Seoul (Japan) Online
Dive into pixelated Olympic chaos—awkward sprints, button-mashing swims, and gymnastics that never quite go right, all with that janky NES charm. Grab a friend and argue over who actually won the tiny sprite races.

Konami's Konamic Sports in Seoul came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988, a time when sports games were still finding their footing on home consoles. It was one of those titles you'd rent for the weekend, hoping for some simple multiplayer fun without too much complexity. The game was clearly inspired by the real 1988 Seoul Olympics, but it had that distinct, slightly rough Konami feel from that era.
You control an athlete competing in several events, including running, swimming, and gymnastics. The main goal is to outperform your opponent, either the computer or a second player, by mashing buttons as fast as possible or timing your inputs just right. Each event has its own control scheme; sprinting requires rapid alternating taps, while the high jump demands precise timing for the approach and leap. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, especially in later rounds. It feels like a chaotic, sometimes clumsy race against the clock and your own reflexes.
