Play Kyuukyoku Harikiri Stadium 3 (Japan) Online

Pitchers wind up like they're hurling boulders, batters send the ball into orbit with a cartoonish *thwack*, and fielders flail like drunk seagulls—pure NES baseball chaos. That umpire's dramatic calls still crack me up.

Game Overview

Kyuukyoku Harikiri Stadium 3 came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed and published by Taito. It was part of a long running baseball series in Japan, arriving late in the NES lifecycle when developers were really pushing the hardware to its limits.

You control a full baseball team, managing pitching, batting, and fielding across full nine inning games. The main objective is to outscore your opponent, but the game is known for its exaggerated physics; pitchers throw with immense speed, batters can send the ball flying with powerful hits, and fielders move with a clumsy, frantic energy. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, especially against skilled CPU teams. Playing it feels like being in the middle of a chaotic, slightly absurd cartoon version of a baseball game.
