LEGO Harry Potter - Years 1-4 on the DS is basically the first four books (or movies, if you prefer) but with that goofy LEGO charm. You start off running around Diagon Alley, smashing stuff for studs—because of course LEGO wizards still care about collecting little plastic coins—before hopping on the Hogwarts Express.

The magic system’s simple but fun: flick spells with the stylus, mix potions by tapping ingredients, and occasionally levitate objects to solve puzzles. Some of the later spells, like Wingardium Leviosa, feel surprisingly satisfying to pull off on the touchscreen. And yeah, you’ll attend classes, but don’t worry—it’s way more entertaining than real school. Snape’s still a jerk, just now he’s made of bricks.

Co-op’s a blast if you’ve got a buddy, though the DS version obviously doesn’t look as sharp as the console ones. Still, there’s something weirdly perfect about playing this on a handheld—like you’re sneaking in a quick Herbology lesson between bus rides.
