I picked up LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars on PlayStation Portable back in 2011, a Traveller’s Tales and LucasArts release. It was a solid handheld take on the animated series, fitting right into that era of portable gaming where you could dive into a bigger universe in short sessions. The PSP version condensed the action without losing the charm of building and breaking everything in sight.

You control a rotating cast of Jedi, clones, and droids across missions that mix ground combat, space battles, and puzzle filled environments. The main goal is to progress through episodes by smashing objects for studs, solving simple build puzzles, and switching characters to use their unique abilities, like deflecting blaster bolts or using grapples. Signature mechanics include large scale battlefield sequences where you command units and destroy enemy structures, alongside more intimate screen by screen exploration for collectibles. The pacing stays brisk, and the difficulty remains accessible, mostly focusing on fun over frustration. It feels satisfying to slice through battle droids and see everything explode into plastic pieces.
