I picked up LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, a Traveller's Tales release that squeezed six movies into one tiny cartridge. It was a solid portable version of the console game, fitting right in with that era of DS titles that tried to bring big experiences to the small screen without too many compromises.
You control a variety of characters from the films, switching between Jedi, droids, and blaster heroes to break apart LEGO objects, solve simple puzzles, and collect studs. The main goal is to play through key scenes from all the movies, unlocking new characters and vehicles along the way. Signature mechanics include the touchscreen for certain puzzles and special actions, plus the top screen for the main action, along with the series' trademark brick-smashing and stud-hoarding. The pacing is breezy, the difficulty low, making it easy to pick up and play in short bursts. It feels satisfying to just tear through levels, building things out of bricks and hearing that classic chuckle when a character dies.
