Game Overview

I first played The Light Corridor on the Amiga back in 1990, a game developed by Lankhor and published by Infogrames. It came out during a time when the Amiga was full of experimental titles, and this one stood out for its stark, minimalist style and its focus on pure puzzle navigation rather than action or story.

You control a small, glowing ship-like cursor, moving it through a series of maze-like corridors viewed from an overhead perspective. Your goal is simply to reach the exit in each level, but the challenge comes from avoiding enemies and deadly traps, all while racing against a strict time limit. The screen updates one section at a time as you progress, which forces you to plan your route carefully and react quickly to new obstacles. The pacing is tense; one wrong move or moment of hesitation usually means starting the stage over. Playing it feels like a constant test of spatial awareness and quick decision making under pressure.
