Game Overview

Corridor 7: Alien Invasion is one of those weird, janky MS-DOS shooters that somehow sticks with you. You’re dropped into a military base overrun by aliens, and unlike most FPS games where you just hunt for the exit, here you’ve got to clear out every last bug-eyed monstrosity before the elevator lets you move to the next floor. And by "clear out," I mean really clear out—depending on your difficulty, you might need to kill anywhere from 10% to every single alien on the level. The higher settings get brutal, especially President mode (CD version only), where items get scrambled around randomly.

The first 20 levels feel like a standard sci-fi base—offices, labs, warehouses—but then the aliens start redecorating. Darker, weirder, with their own creepy architecture. The CD version even throws in a trip to the aliens’ homeworld, which is just unsettling. You’ve got a visor for night vision and spotting invisible traps, which is handy because some areas are pitch black. Health and ammo come from wall dispensers, not random pickups, so you’re always scrambling to find the next refill station.

Oh, and the map system? Lifesaver. At first, it’s just a tiny radar showing nearby enemies, but if you find the floor plan, it expands to reveal the whole level. No keys here—just color-coded passcards from giant wall terminals. Sometimes you can trick an alien into opening a door for you, which feels weirdly satisfying. It’s clunky, it’s dated, but there’s something oddly compelling about methodically clearing each floor before moving on. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
