Play Little Master - Nijiiro no Maseki (Japan) Online
Explore a fantasy world, feed colored crystals to blob-like creatures, and use them in turn-based battles against monsters in Little Master - Nijiiro no Maseki.
Little Master: Nijiiro no Maseki came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by A-Wave and published by Yojigen. It was part of that wave of mid-90s SNES games that tried something a little off the beaten path, a time when developers weren't afraid to get experimental with the hardware.
You control a young boy who explores a fantasy world, feeding colored crystals to small blob-like creatures called Mashi. Each crystal you give them changes their form, sometimes into something helpful, sometimes into something bizarre. Your main goal is to collect these transformed creatures and use them in turn-based battles against other monsters. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with exploration split between an overworld and smaller locations, and the difficulty comes from managing your unpredictable team. It feels like conducting a strange, colorful science experiment where you never quite know what you're going to get next.
