Play Lock's Quest (U)(XenoPhobia) Online
Build defenses, draw glyphs, and fend off waves of Clockwork soldiers as you protect the Source energy in Lock's Quest on Nintendo DS.
Lock's Quest came out in 2008 for the Nintendo DS, developed by 5th Cell, the same studio behind Drawn to Life. It arrived during a time when the DS library was full of inventive, stylus-driven games, and this one fit right in with its mix of strategy and action, wrapped in a story about a young boy defending his world from mechanical invaders.
You control Lock, a Source Artisan who builds and repairs defenses in real time using the touch screen. The main goal is to protect the Source energy in each stage from waves of attacking Clockwork soldiers. Signature mechanics include drawing glyphs to construct walls and turrets during a build phase, then actively tapping to repair structures or attack enemies directly once combat begins. The pacing is intense, with later levels demanding quick decisions and constant multitasking as defenses crumble under heavy assault. It feels like a race against time, balancing construction with frantic repairs while your cannons slowly whittle down the advancing horde.
