Game Overview

Looney Tunes on Game Boy is a fun little side-scroller where you get to play as different cartoon characters, each with their own weird little gimmick. Daffy Duck throws frisbees like some kind of duck-themed Mario, Tweety has to dodge Sylvester (good luck with that), and Porky Pig flies a biplane—which is way cooler than it sounds. There’s even a Taz bonus level where you just run around grabbing steaks like a tornado with an appetite.

Some levels feel a bit thrown together—Speedy Gonzalez in a haunted house? Sure, why not—but the variety keeps it from getting stale. Roadrunner’s stage is exactly what you’d expect: pure chaos with Wile E. Coyote hot on your tail. And yeah, Bugs Bunny’s part is basically Daffy’s again, but hey, at least he’s got style. It’s short, silly, and exactly the kind of mess you’d expect from a Looney Tunes game.
