I picked up Looney Tunes for the Game Boy back in 1992, a Sunsoft release that tried to capture the cartoon spirit on a tiny screen. It was one of those platformers that felt typical for the handheld at the time, a collection of short stages built around different characters from the show. You didn't get a deep story, just a reason to jump and run through themed levels.

You control a different character in each stage, like Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, each with their own simple move set. The main goal is just to get to the end of each stage, avoiding enemies and pitfalls. Some levels have you throwing items, like Daffy chucking discs, while others are pure avoidance, like guiding Tweety past a persistent Sylvester. The game moves quickly, but the hit detection can be unforgiving, making some jumps feel cheap. It feels exactly like a condensed, slightly janky Saturday morning cartoon.
