Game Overview

Duck Amuck came out on the Nintendo DS in 2007, developed by WayForward. It was a time when developers were really trying to use all the DS's unique features, like the touch screen and microphone, and this game was a direct part of that experimental push.

You don't control Daffy Duck so much as you control the world around him, using the stylus to draw platforms for him to walk on, erase parts of the scenery, or tap objects to interact with them. The main objective is to complete each short stage by solving the environmental puzzle presented, often by irritating Daffy until he finishes the scene. Signature mechanics include blowing into the microphone to inflate Daffy like a balloon or using the touch screen to literally redraw the entire background. The pace is quick and the challenges are more about silly experimentation than difficult execution. It feels less like playing a game and more like being the co-director of a very short, very angry cartoon.
