Game Overview

Mangia' is one of those weirdly charming Atari 2600 games where you're stuck at the dinner table with an overbearing Italian mama force-feeding you pasta. The pixelated spaghetti keeps piling up, and you've got to either scarf it down (wiggle that joystick left-right like you're shoveling food) or sneakily toss it to the pets when mama isn't looking. Mess up the timing and she catches you—next thing you know, three extra plates slam onto the table.

It's a race against both portion control and physics—eat more than 20 plates and you explode (yes, really), but let the table get too crowded and everything collapses. The cat and dog show up randomly, so you're constantly glancing between the window and under the table while mama paces. Points go up each level, but so does the pasta quota—by level 9, you're dealing with 49 plates of increasingly valuable spaghetti. Somehow, it stays weirdly tense the whole time.

Just don't expect realism—this is the kind of game where a dog happily catches airborne pasta and your character detonates from overeating. Classic Atari logic.
