Game Overview

I picked up Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on Game Boy Advance back in 2006, a portable take on the console game from Activision. It was a time when handhelds were packed with scaled-down versions of bigger titles, and this one tried to bring the superhero team experience into your pocket. You don't get the full roster or the same depth, but it was something you could actually take with you, which felt pretty cool at the time.

You control a team of four Marvel heroes, swapping between them on the fly as you move screen by screen, punching and blasting through endless Doombots and other minions. The main goal is to stop Doctor Doom, which means fighting through levels, beating up bosses, and finding keys or switches to progress. You collect credits to upgrade stats and unlock new characters, and each hero has a unique super move you need to manage carefully because energy depletes fast. The pacing is straightforward, but some enemy patterns demand attention, and it can get repetitive if you play for too long. It feels like a solid, no-fuss brawler that gets the job done when you just want to hit things as your favorite hero.
