Okay, so The Mask of Zorro on Game Boy Color is way more fun than I expected. You start off slashing soldiers with your rapier—which feels surprisingly smooth for a GBC game—but then it throws in these little platforming bits where you’re jumping across rooftops or sneaking past guards. The swordplay’s simple (mash that B button), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about carving Z’s into walls after a fight.
It’s got that classic movie vibe—dramatic music, bright colors, even a few stealth moments where you’ve gotta avoid patrols. Not gonna lie, the controls take a minute to get used to (why is climbing so janky?), but once you’re in the groove, it’s a solid little action romp. And yeah, you’ll definitely stab a lot of guys in fancy hats.
