Game Overview
Oh man, The Mask on SNES—this game is pure, unhinged chaos in the best way possible. You play as Stanley Ipkiss, that poor schmuck who puts on the mask and turns into a green-faced lunatic with powers straight out of a Tex Avery cartoon. One minute you're whipping out a mallet the size of a refrigerator to smash enemies, the next you're inflating like a balloon to float over spikes. It's ridiculous, and that's the point.
The levels are packed with little nods to the movie—like dancing cops and that tiny dog—but even if you haven't seen it, the sheer energy of bouncing around like a hyperactive gremlin is infectious. The controls take a second to get used to (why does stretching my face forward feel so weird at first?), but once it clicks, you'll be ricocheting off walls and cackling at the absurdity. Not every SNES game lets you turn into a tornado of confetti mid-jump.
It's short, it's silly, and it absolutely nails the vibe of the movie. Perfect for when you just want to cause pixelated mayhem without overthinking it.
