Play Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX on GBC Online
Pick a BMX pro, hop between lanes to hit ramps, and nail trick combos to unlock new areas—it’s like Tony Hawk but with bikes and a side-scrolling twist.

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX came out on the Game Boy Color in 2001, published by Activision. It was part of that wave of extreme sports games that followed Tony Hawk's success, but it brought bikes to the handheld scene. The Game Boy Color was already fading by then, but this title made good use of its limited hardware, offering a solid, portable BMX experience without trying to overreach.
You pick a pro rider like Mat Hoffman himself and move through levels screen by screen, switching between three lanes to line up jumps and grind rails. The main goal is to score enough points by landing tricks to unlock new areas and complete objectives. You build your combo meter by chaining moves together; timing is everything, and the physics feel weighty for such a small game. It's challenging but fair, and pulling off a long string of tricks gives a real sense of momentum and control.
