D-Day hits like a truck—bullets snap past as you sprint up Omaha Beach, soldiers crumpling beside you. Later you're sweating in a stolen Nazi uniform, faking paperwork while planting charges on a U-boat. That Garand still kicks like a mule.
Game Overview
Medal of Honor: Frontline on GameCube throws you right into the chaos of WWII as Lt. Jimmy Patterson. The opening mission alone—storming Omaha Beach on D-Day—is brutal in the best way, with bullets whizzing past and soldiers dropping around you. It’s one of those levels that sticks with you.
Later, you’ll sneak around in a Nazi officer’s uniform (super tense when they ask for your papers) or blow up a U-boat with timed explosives. The weapons feel weighty—that M1 Garand *cracks* just right—and the missions mix up shooting with just enough stealth and sabotage to keep it interesting. Some sections even have AI allies who actually help instead of just getting in the way.
It’s not perfect—the controls show their age—but the atmosphere and variety still hold up. You’ll remember the claustrophobic submarine mission long after you’ve turned it off.
