Mega Man X - Command Mission is one of those weird RPG spinoffs that somehow works. You still get X and Zero blasting through enemies, but now it's turn-based, with a small squad of characters joining you along the way. The whole thing feels like a classic Mega Man story—just stretched into a shorter, more digestible RPG. No 80-hour slogs here.

Force Metal upgrades add some depth without overwhelming you, and the GBA connectivity (if you've still got one lying around) is a neat little bonus for sniffing out hidden items. The PS2 version tosses in an X8 demo, but honestly, the GameCube version plays just fine. It's not the deepest RPG out there, but if you miss that Mega Man tone and want something different, it's a solid pick.
