Miami Nights: Singles in the City came out for the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Gameloft. It was part of that wave of life and dating sims that tried to make use of the DS touchscreen, offering a light, sometimes silly alternative to more serious adventures on the platform.
You create and control a custom character trying to find love across a week in Miami. The main goal is to build your stats, schedule dates, and successfully romance one of several potential partners. Signature mechanics include navigating the city screen by screen via the stylus, playing minigames like mixing drinks or dancing to rhythm prompts, and managing your limited time and money between social events. The pacing is forgiving, more about casual experimentation than punishing difficulty. It feels like guiding a charmingly awkward friend through a week of very low stakes bad decisions.
