Microprose Pro Soccer came out in 1988 for MS-DOS, published by MicroProse. It was one of the earlier attempts to bring a full soccer simulation to the PC, a time when many sports games were still figuring out how to translate the flow of a match onto a keyboard and a CGA monitor.

You control a single player at a time, switching between them to chase the ball, pass, and shoot. The main objective is to score more goals than the opposing team. Signature mechanics include the ability to slide tackle aggressively (which often results in fouls or cards) and the use of strategic through passes to break defensive lines. The pacing is frantic, with matches feeling scrappy and physical, and the difficulty comes from both the AI and the somewhat clunky controls. It feels like a raw, energetic scramble where every goal feels hard-earned.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
