Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2005, developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It was one of the more ambitious racing titles on the PSP at the time, offering a full open world experience on a handheld, which felt pretty groundbreaking back then.

You control a street racer working their way up through three major cities: San Diego, Atlanta, and Detroit. The main goal is to win races, earn cash, and upgrade your car with visual and performance mods, many licensed by DUB magazine. Signature mechanics include open world navigation where you hunt for race starters and rivals, intense arcade style driving with nitrous boosts and aggressive opponent AI, and deep vehicle customization that affects both looks and handling. The pacing is fast, races are chaotic, and traffic becomes a real obstacle. It feels like you're always one mistake away from wiping out, but pulling off a perfect drift through an intersection makes it all worth it.
