Game Overview

Moai Kun is one of those weird little NES games that somehow sticks with you. You play as a tiny, bouncing Moai head—yep, the same kind you'd see on Easter Island—hopping across floating platforms and smashing through blocks like a wrecking ball. It starts simple, but by level three, you're dodging spikes, timing jumps over disappearing tiles, and questioning how a stone statue moves this fast.

The fan translation makes it way easier to follow (no more guessing what those Japanese menus meant), and the whole thing has this goofy energy—like if Bubble Bobble and a caffeine-fueled platformer had a baby. Some jumps will make you yell at the screen, but in that good way where you immediately hit retry. It’s short, tough, and oddly charming—perfect for when you want something retro but not another Mario clone.

Fair warning: that chiptune soundtrack gets stuck in your head for days.
