So, Moai Kun is this weird little NES puzzle-platformer where you play as one of those Easter Island heads—you know, the same Moai statue that kept popping up in Konami games back in the day. It’s kind of surreal controlling a giant stone face, but here we are.

Each level’s pretty straightforward: grab all the smaller Moai statues scattered around, then book it to the exit before time runs out. The catch? You’re constantly rearranging the stage by pushing or breaking rocks to clear paths, all while dodging enemies that’ll wreck you if they touch you. Some rocks crumble instantly, others take a few hits—figuring out the right order to smash things is half the challenge. And yeah, the controls are a bit stiff (it’s an NES game, after all), but there’s something satisfying about slowly carving your way through each level like a determined, slightly clumsy boulder.
