Monster House for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2006, published by THQ. You play as a kid exploring a haunted house, room by room, blasting monsters with a variety of projectile weapons you find along the way. The main goal is to clear each screen of enemies and eventually take down the house itself, which involves solving simple puzzles and uncovering hidden items to progress. Combat is straightforward, mostly about aiming and firing while avoiding enemy attacks; you collect different ammo types and health pickups scattered around. The pacing is fairly quick, though some rooms can get repetitive, and the difficulty is manageable without being too easy. It feels like a straightforward, slightly spooky arcade shooter made for short bursts of play.
