Game Overview
Moorhuhn 2 on the Game Boy Color is basically what happens when you take the absurd chicken-shooting madness of the original PC game and cram it into a tiny cartridge. You’re still blasting away at those derpy pixelated birds (and sometimes UFOs or cows, because why not?), but now you can do it on the bus or in bed. The graphics took a hit, obviously—this is a GBC port—but the chaotic energy is still there.
It’s one of those games where you start thinking, "Okay, just one more round," and suddenly you’ve been staring at a pea-green screen for 20 minutes trying to beat your high score. The controls are simple, the chickens are ridiculous, and the whole thing feels like a weird little time capsule of early 2000s German gaming culture. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Moorhuhn obsession firsthand, this is as good a place as any to start.
