Game Overview
Mortal Kombat Trilogy on NES is one of those weird bootleg fighters that tries to cram way too much into an 8-bit cartridge. You get this janky roster mixing MK1-3 characters, but they all move like they're stuck in mud.
The sprites are these awkwardly stretched versions of the arcade designs—Sub-Zero looks like someone melted him slightly, and Scorpion's spear animation takes about three business days to complete. The AI either stands there eating punches or suddenly turns into an untouchable combo machine.
Still, there's something oddly charming about seeing the ninjas and monsters squeezed into this tiny format. Just don't expect anything close to the real Mortal Kombat Trilogy experience.
