Play Mr Nutz on GBA Online
Guide Mr. Nutz through vibrant levels, whip enemies with your tail, climb vines, and hunt for hidden nuts to rescue your friend from an evil owl.
Mr. Nutz on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2001, published by Titus Interactive. It was part of that early wave of GBA platformers, a time when developers were still figuring out how to make the most of the hardware's small, bright screen. You control a squirrel named Mr. Nutz, and the game sends you through a series of themed worlds to rescue your kidnapped squirrel friend from an evil owl.
You guide Mr. Nutz through side-scrolling levels, using his tail to whip enemies and break certain blocks. The main goal is simply to reach the end of each stage, but you'll also hunt for hidden nuts to unlock bonus areas. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration, where the view locks until you clear the enemies or obstacles in that section, and a lot of vertical climbing using vines and ladders. The pacing is brisk, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages with more precise platforming. It feels like a straightforward, energetic run-and-jump game from that era, sometimes charming and sometimes frustrating.
