Play Mr. Nutz (Europe) Online

You control a squirrel in sneakers, bouncing on mushrooms and digging through breakable walls—just when you think you’ve got the floaty jumps down, the ice level laughs at you. That synth soundtrack? It’s either catchy or pure torture.

Game Overview

Mr. Nutz is one of those classic '90s platformers that feels like it should’ve been way bigger than it was. You play as this little red squirrel in sneakers and a cap, bouncing on enemies like you’re in some weird, forest-themed Mario clone. The controls are floaty at first—took me a few levels to stop overshooting jumps—but once you get the hang of it, there’s something satisfying about the way he moves.

The levels are packed with hidden stuff, like extra lives tucked behind breakable walls or tucked just out of sight. I remember getting stuck on this one ice stage forever because I kept missing a platform hidden behind a snowflake. Classic '90s platformer cruelty. The music’s got that upbeat, slightly repetitive synth vibe that either gets stuck in your head or drives you nuts (no pun intended).

It’s not the deepest game, but if you’re into that era of platformers, it’s a solid time-waster with just enough charm to keep you going. The squirrel’s weird little victory dance at the end of each level still cracks me up.
