Play Mr Tuff (prototype) Online
You control a ridiculously buff cartoon dude, punching enemies into orbit while dodging disappearing platforms—pure '90s chaos with janky, neon-soaked charm.

Mr. Tuff (Prototype) is one of those weird, wonderful SNES games that feels like it fell out of a time capsule from 1993. You play as this hilariously over-the-top tough guy, bouncing around levels that look like a neon-drenched cartoon explosion. The controls are simple—run, jump, punch things into next week—but the levels throw these chaotic little curveballs at you, like enemies popping out of nowhere or platforms that vanish if you hesitate too long.
It’s got that unmistakable prototype jank—some hitboxes are a little wonky, and the difficulty spikes out of nowhere—but that’s part of the charm. The art style is pure early ‘90s, all chunky sprites and eye-searing colors, and the humor’s so dumb it loops back to being brilliant. If you’ve ever wondered what Earthworm Jim would play like if he skipped the gym and just yelled a lot, this is your game. Definitely worth a play if you dig obscure platformers with personality.
