Play Naruto RPG 2 - Chidori Vs Rasengan (J) Online
Spamming Chidori drains your chakra fast, so you actually have to time those big jutsu—landing a Rasengan at the right moment feels killer. Rock Lee’s taijutsu combos are pure eye candy, even if you’re just guessing at the menus.

Naruto RPG 2: Chidori Vs Rasengan came out for the Nintendo DS in 2005, developed by Tomy Corporation. It was one of those early DS titles that tried to make use of the touchscreen, back when developers were still figuring out what the system could really do. The game follows the story of the Sasuke Retrieval arc, so you get a lot of the tension and team dynamics from that part of the series.
You control Naruto and his friends through a mix of exploration and turn-based battles. The main goal is to chase down Sasuke, fighting through a series of enemy ninja and occasional bosses along the way. You move from screen to screen on a top-down map, engaging in random encounters that use a menu-driven combat system with special jutsu activated via touchscreen gestures. Managing chakra for those bigger moves becomes important pretty quickly; you can't just spam Rasengan or Chidori without thinking ahead. The pacing is fairly straightforward, though some boss fights might require a bit of grinding if your levels are low. It feels like a solid, if simple, adaptation of the source material into RPG form.
