Game Overview

NBA Give 'N Go came out on the Super Nintendo in 1995, published by Konami. It was one of the later basketball games on the system, arriving when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do with fast, fluid sports simulations. It didn't have the official NBA license, but it had its own style and a surprisingly deep playbook for its time.

You control all five players on the court, but the game smartly focuses on the player with the ball, making it easier to drive, pass, or take a shot. The main objective is to outscore the other team, of course, but the real strategy comes from using its signature give-and-go passing moves and calling set plays on the fly. The pace is quick, almost frantic, and the computer opponents put up a decent fight, especially on higher difficulty settings. It feels like you're actually running an offense, not just mashing buttons until someone scores.
