NBA Hoopz on Game Boy Color is basically NBA Showtime but with some solid upgrades. You’re playing 3-on-3 now instead of 2-on-2, which makes the court feel way less cramped. Alley-oops are new, and they’re fun to pull off once you get the timing down—though half the time I still end up throwing the ball into the stands by accident.
They bumped the roster up to 140 players, so there’s a better chance your favorite guy is in there. And yeah, the secret courts are a nice touch—some of them have weird gimmicks, like one with a super bouncy floor that sends your players flying after dunks. It’s still the same arcade-style chaos as last year’s game, just with a little more to mess around with.
