Play NBA Live 2000 Online
Control your team, switch players, drive to the basket, pass strategically, and outscore your opponent in NBA Live 2000 on N64.
NBA Live 2000 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by EA Sports. It was one of the better basketball games on the system at the time, competing with titles like NBA Jam and Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside. The game featured real NBA teams and players, with rosters updated for the 1999 season.
You control one of five players on the court, switching between them to play defense, set picks, or drive to the basket. The main goal is to outscore the opponent through a mix of strategic passing, shooting, and defensive positioning. Signature mechanics include the turbo button for bursts of speed, an alley-oop pass activated with specific button combinations, and a shot meter that requires timing for higher accuracy. The pacing is fast but manageable, with difficulty that scales noticeably between rookie and All-Star settings. It feels responsive and fluid when your plays come together, especially on a fast break or a well-defended possession.
