Game Overview
NBA Street Vol. 2 on GameCube is still one of the best arcade basketball games ever. Forget the NBA—this is all about flashy dunks, ridiculous trick shots, and playing in gritty outdoor courts with a crowd hyping you up. The moves feel impossible at first (360 between-the-legs alley-oops, anyone?), but once you get the hang of it, pulling off combos is stupidly satisfying.
Street School eases you in, but the real fun starts in Pick Up Games where you earn points to unlock wild gear and legendary players. NBA Challenge pits you against stars and old-school legends, but Be a Legend mode is where I lost hours—building some no-name rookie into a streetball icon, unlocking new moves and outfits along the way. The soundtrack’s full of early 2000s hip-hop bangers, too. It’s over-the-top, chaotic, and exactly what streetball should feel like.
