You’ll launch 50-yard bombs with one button, tackle guys three seconds after they’ve thrown the ball, and occasionally watch your players literally catch fire if they’re on a hot streak (yes, really).
The plays are simple to pick up, but good luck stopping someone once they’ve figured out how to cheese the deep pass. Season mode lets you save progress, which is a miracle for a GBC cart, and the camera angles actually make the tiny sprites feel intense. It’s dumb, over-the-top, and somehow still the most fun football game on the system.
