Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots came out for the Nintendo DS in 2007, published by THQ. It was part of that wave of licensed games that tried to mash up different cartoon universes, and it fit right in with the portable brawlers of the time. You get to pick from a bunch of Nickelodeon characters, like SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, and the Fairly OddParents crew, which was a big draw if you were into those shows back then.
You control one character at a time, switching between them to use their unique abilities to break stuff and fight waves of toy robots. The main goal is to smash your way through levels, clearing out enemies and solving simple environmental puzzles, like using Danny's intangibility to slip through barriers or SpongeBob's bubble blow to activate switches. The combat is straightforward, with basic attacks and special moves, and the difficulty stays pretty manageable, never getting too punishing. It feels like a light, chaotic playground where you're just tearing through enemy bots with cartoonish flair.
